Pine River Bridge Update - 2/1/2010

The Pine River Bridge, located at the end of the Arrowhead Trail, will be getting a new deck to replace the existing deck, which is deteriorated and a safety concern. Pine River connects McFarland and Little John Lakes. The Cook County Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of decking materials which will allow this bridge to be back to normal load capacity in the near future. Materials have been received but, due to the safety risk of construction during the winter, replacement will be delayed until this spring. The deck will be installed by the Cook County Highway Department. Until that time, the bridge remains posted for a 5-ton load limit. We apologize for any inconvenience. Questions?
