Highway Projects

The Highway Department manages a number of projects each year. These projects fall into four categories:

Construction Area

The Highway Department has one major construction project scheduled for 2016, SAP 016-602-019: CSAH 2 Sawbill Trail Paving, Phase 1.

The County has hired Northland Constructors of Duluth to pave 8.44 miles of the Sawbill Trail (CSAH 2).  Northland has been crushing aggregate and replacing and repairing culverts along the 8.44 mile stretch.  The contractor is scheduled to begin subcuts the week of June 6, weather permitting.  Pavement is scheduled to be complete by mid-August.
