Nutrition Assistance - SNAP

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a county-run, federal program that helps Minnesotans with low incomes get the food they need for sound nutrition and well-balanced meals. The program issues electronic benefits that can help stretch your food budget. It is not intended to meet all of your food budget needs.

Expedited SNAP makes benefits available quickly to households unable to meet their food needs. You will receive your SNAP benefits within five working days of when you apply, if you are eligible and provide us with proof of who you are.

The amount of SNAP benefits your household can get is based on the income, expenses and the number of people in your household. If you are approved for SNAP, you will receive benefits on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.
