What is ARMER?

The allied radio matrix emergency response (ARMER) program began in 2004. ARMER is a robust, scalable, state-of-the-art system capable of servicing the radio communications needs of every:
  • City,
  • County,
  • State agency,
  • Tribal government and
  • Non-government public safety entity.
It is the infrastructure upon which emergency responders rely.

MnDOT owns and operates the ARMER backbone. It is administered in coordination with the Statewide Emergency Communications Board and the Department of Public Safety.
